1. Valve configuration

   • 2/2 (two ports, two positions)

   • 3/2 (three ports, two positions)

   • 5/2, 5/3 etc for more complex control

2. Actuation type

   • Direct acting vs pilot operated (depending on pressure differential)

   • Spring return or detent (latching)

3. Port size & flow

   • The internal orifice / bore must support your required flow

   • Connection (e.g. G1/4, G1/8, etc.)

4. Operating pressure & media

   • The valve must handle the maximum pressure of your system

   • Medium – usually air, but needs cleanliness / filtering

5. Electrical coil characteristics

   • Voltage (AC or DC)

   • Power / VA

   • Duty cycle (continuous, intermittent)

   • Insulation / protection (IP rating)

6. Environment & mounting

   • Ambient temperature, presence of dust or moisture

   • Whether the coil needs 360° rotation flexibility

   • Manual override possibility

7. Standards / compatibility

   • Is the valve Namur standardized? (some Janatics models follow Namur mounting)

   • Compatibility with manifold systems

8. Service / spare parts

   • Availability of coils, seals, spares

   • Maintenance, ease of disassembly
